The programme commenced on May 11 following a baseline survey and medical examination of all participants. During the camp, NTPC provided free accommodation, meals, study materials and other essential facilities to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.

Throughout the programme, the participants underwent academic enrichment sessions, leadership-building activities and career counselling workshops that introduced them to opportunities in defence services, police, sports and academics. Training in arts and crafts, yoga and self-defence was also provided to help develop creativity, discipline, fitness and self-reliance.

As part of awareness-building activities, the girls participated in a Nukkad Natak during Swachhta Pakhwada and showcased their creativity in the “My Green Planet” painting competition organised on the occasion of World Environment Day. Health awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition and adolescent well-being were also conducted during the camp.

The participants were taken on educational visits to the NTPC Talcher Kaniha power plant and its solar power facility, giving them first-hand exposure to industrial operations and sustainable energy technologies. Recreational activities, including movie screenings and a magic show, were also organised to enrich the learning experience.

A key feature of this year's programme was the organisation of career counselling and parenting workshops aimed at helping students make informed career choices while strengthening parent-child engagement.

The initiative received appreciation from district authorities, with the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police of Angul visiting the camp and interacting with the participants.

The closing ceremony showcased the transformation of the participants through cultural performances, including Sambalpuri folk dance, yoga displays, self-defence demonstrations, drama presentations and a ramp walk. The event was attended by Vijay Chand, Regional Executive Director (ER-II) and Head of Project, NTPC Talcher Thermal, as Chief Guest, along with Vibha Agarwal, President of Vasudha Mahila Mandal, Ajay Kumar Yadav, Head of Project, NTPC Talcher Kaniha, and Archana Yadav, President of Tanvi Sangam.
