NTPC Talcher Kaniha marks 79th Independence Day with patriotic zeal and employee honours

New Delhi/Talcher: NTPC Talcher Kaniha celebrated the 79th Independence Day with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit, featuring ceremonial events, cultural performances, and awards recognising contributions across the organisation.

Executive Director K. Narasimha Reddy hoisted the national flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and a parade inspection comprising CISF personnel and students from DAV School, Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), and SSVM. The ceremony also included the symbolic release of tri-colour balloons.

As part of the celebrations, employees were honoured in categories including Meritorious Awards, Best Teacher Awards, Manveeyata Puraskar, Women Achiever Awards, Power Excel Awards, Health Champion Awards, and Security Excellence Awards for CISF personnel.

The event was attended by Ch. Satya Rama Krishna, CGM (OM), and K. Srivani, President of Tanvi Sangam, along with senior NTPC officials, welfare body members, union representatives, school faculty, employees, and CISF personnel. Earlier in the day, Rama Krishna also hoisted the national flag at the administrative building.
