NTPC Vindhyachal organises multi-district industrial safety training programme in MP

New Delhi: NTPC Limited’s Vindhyachal unit organised a large-scale industrial safety training programme in collaboration with the Directorate of Industrial Health & Safety, Madhya Pradesh, aimed at promoting safe industrial practices across multiple districts.

The programme, held on Tuesday at the Regional Learning Institute (RLI), saw participation from over 90 professionals representing industries across Singrauli, Satna, Rewa, Sidhi, Shahdol and Anuppur districts.

The event was inaugurated by Gaurav Benal, District Collector of Singrauli, as the Chief Guest, in the presence of Namita Tiwari. Senior officials from NTPC Vindhyachal, including CGM Sanjib Kumar Saha, along with members of the senior management team, were also present.

Addressing the participants, Gaurav Benal administered a safety pledge and emphasised the importance of strict adherence to safety standards for sustainable industrial development. He highlighted the need for regular training of workers, with particular focus on road and mining safety.

Namita Tiwari elaborated on provisions of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (OSH) Code, stressing the importance of transparent reporting of safety incidents. She also highlighted initiatives such as Shram Star Rating, Hurt-Free Days, Aaroh and Fire Audit.

The programme featured expert sessions by Bhawna Kasturiya on AI-based safety solutions, chemical handling and confined space safety. Industry participants including Reliance Sasan, Hindalco Mahan, Adani Power and NTPC Vindhyachal shared best practices, while M/s KARAM showcased advanced personal protective equipment (PPE) and modern safety solutions.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ashish Kumar Agrawal, AGM (Safety), and served as a platform for knowledge sharing and strengthening inter-industry collaboration on safety practices.
