

New Delhi: NTPC Vindhyachal has won the “Excellent Energy Efficient Unit” Award for the fourth consecutive year and the “National Energy Leader” Award for the second consecutive year at the 27th National Award for Excellence in Energy Management 2026, organised by the CII Energy Efficiency Council.

The awards recognise the power station’s sustained efforts in improving energy efficiency and strengthening energy management practices.
NTPC Vindhyachal competed in a common category comprising thermal power plants from public sector undertakings, independent power producers and state generators.
The station presented its energy efficiency initiatives at the award event held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on September 18.

Kiran Kumar Bantu, AGM (Operation), and Ram Sewak Jayswal, DGM (EEMG), represented NTPC Vindhyachal and received the awards on behalf of the station.
The consecutive recognitions underline Vindhyachal’s continued focus on energy efficiency and its performance in energy management among thermal power plants.
