The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination programme was conducted to promote preventive healthcare and raise awareness about women’s health among employees.

The drive was inaugurated by Director (HR) Alok Kumar Pal at the head office dispensary in Bhubaneswar. Women employees posted at the head office and Khondalite units received the HPV vaccine as part of the initiative.

To ensure wider coverage, the vaccination programme was also conducted through OMC’s medical facilities across its mining regions, including Barbil, Gandhamardan, Daitari, JK Road, Rayagada and Koira.

OMC’s medical teams and health workers administered the vaccines while also conducting awareness sessions on cervical cancer prevention, the importance of early screening and regular health check-ups.

The initiative forms part of the company’s broader focus on employee welfare and preventive healthcare across its operational areas.

In the run-up to International Women’s Day, OMC also organised multiple awareness sessions on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) across its regions during January and February, aimed at reinforcing a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace.
