New Delhi: A one-day workshop on “Emerging Trends in Human Resources (HR)” was jointly organised by the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM)-Vizag Chapter and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) at the Management Development Centre, Ukkunagaram.

The event saw Dr S.C. Pandey, Director (Personnel) RINL and special invitee to the National Council of NIPM, as the Chief Guest. Addressing over 70 delegates from public and private sector organisations, Dr Pandey highlighted the evolving role of HR. "The future of HR isn’t just about managing resources—it’s about empowering people, enabling potential, and inspiring purpose," he said. He encouraged participants to collaborate in shaping a meaningful and impactful HR landscape while sharing practical insights from his distinguished career.

Prof. N. Sambasiva Rao, Past Chairman of NIPM, emphasized the significance of family values amid the modern lifestyle's changing dynamics. G Gandhi, CGM (HR) at RINL, spoke about the role of professional bodies like NIPM in fostering networking, knowledge sharing, and professional growth among HR practitioners.

The workshop featured sessions by eminent speakers, including Dr. Mutyala Balaji, an HR consultant and corporate trainer; A Badrinath, DGM at RINL; B Srikanth, Chief Manager (HR) at HPCL; Adisesha Naik, DGM at RINL; and Aditya, Senior Manager (HR) at NTPC. Topics covered included team building, work culture, ethics, governance, and best HR practices from their respective organisations.

Delegates represented a diverse range of organizations, including RINL, HPCL, NTPC, Indian Railways, Visakhapatnam Port Authority, Laurus Labs, Vasudha Pharma, SIMBIO, Teejay Apparel, Uniparts India, Visakha Container Terminal, Pharma Zel, and educational institutions like GITAM and Gayatri.

B Seshagiri Rao, Honorary Secretary of NIPM-Visakha Chapter, extended gratitude to RINL’s management and participating organizations for their support in conducting the workshop. He underscored the importance of such initiatives in equipping HR professionals with the tools and insights needed to navigate emerging challenges in the field.
