SJVN's Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma welcomed the Hon’ble Speaker and briefed him on the corporation’s sustained efforts toward promoting energy efficiency. The Speaker also visited the exhibition gallery, where he viewed the prize-winning artworks and lauded the students for creatively depicting themes related to energy conservation. He appreciated the collective involvement of students, teachers, parents and SJVN in strengthening awareness on energy sustainability.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharma highlighted SJVN’s long-standing partnership with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), the Ministry of Power, the Himachal Pradesh Government, the State Education Department and other agencies in organising the School- and State-Level Painting Competitions. As the Nodal Agency for Himachal Pradesh since 2005, SJVN has played a significant role in advancing the National Campaign on Energy Conservation and encouraging environmentally responsible practices among children.

During the prize distribution ceremony, the Speaker presented cash awards of Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 for the first, second and third positions respectively in both Group A (Classes 5–7) and Group B (Classes 8–10). Additionally, ten consolation prizes of Rs 7,500 each were awarded in both categories. All participating students received mementoes, a participation amount of Rs 2,000 and LED bulbs as a token to promote sustainable living.
