New Delhi: Veteran Aviation expert and Training Guru Gurmukh Singh Bawa has been appointed Secretary-General of Air Travellers Association. Air Travellers Association is a national level non-profitable public welfare society since 2013.
Bawa is a former GM (Corporate Communications) of the Airports Authority of India (AAI). He is presently associated with various aviation bodies working towards the betterment of the services for fliers as well as the industry.
"Air Travellers Association is continuously working towards Promoting and protecting the safety and comfort of all air travellers, Enhancing customer services, amenities and accessibility standards, Ensuring rational charges, Interacting, educating and empowering Air Travellers," an official statement issued by the body said.
One of the important purposes behind the Air Travellers Association is also representing Air Travellers to the policymakers in Government and related bodies and Addressing grievances of members by using legal process if required.
Suresh Prabhu, Member of Parliament,(Rajya Sabha) and former Minister of Civil Aviation, is the Chief Patron of the body along with AH Jung, former Secretary of Civil Aviation as one of the five Patrons.
