MNRE Recruitment: The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) has invited job applications from eligible candidates for filling up the post of Director General of National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) on direct recruitment/deputation basis, short term/contract basis. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the job before January 1, 2021.

National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) is an autonomous institute under the administrative control of the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE). NISE with its Headquarters at Gurugram (Haryana). The Institute is an apex national R&D Institute in the field of Solar Energy and undertakes activities related to research and development, testing, certification, standardization, skill development, resource assessment and awareness in the field of solar energy and other associated technologies.

Pay scale: Rs 37,400 – 67,000/- per month + grade pay of Rs 10,000/- (Sixth Pay Commission) with usual allowances as per Central Government rates.

Age: Between 40 and 55 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications

Qualification (for direct recruitment)

Candidates having Doctorate Degree in science preferably in Solar Energy Technologies or first class Master's Degree in Engineering/ Technology in Renewable Energy preferably in Solar Energy Technologies from a recognised university or institution are eligible for the job.

Experience

Work experience of proven outstanding quality as evident from publication/recognition of international standard.

Minimum 10 years in case of a doctorate degree or 15 years for Master's degree preferably in RD&D /Design/ Manufacturing/ Policy Planning in the area of Solar Energy.

Qualification (for deputation/short term contract)

(i) Officers of central or state governments or PSUs or Universities or Research Institutes or Autonomous bodies holding analogous posts on regular basis;
(ii) Officers having 10 years of regular service experience in the pay scale of Rs 16,400 -450-20,000 or equivalent IDA Pattern pay scale in PSUs

Note: The period of deputation shall be initially for a period of three years which can be extended up to five years. However, persons already on deputation in another ex-cadre post will not be considered. The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation should not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
