New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is organising a story/poem competition and online quiz contest exclusively for its women commuters from February 21 to till February 27 to commemorate the International Women's Day which is celebrated every year on March 8 in all over the world.
The topic for the story/poem competition is, "My experience of 1st coach reserve for women in Delhi Metro.

" The online quiz with a restricted time limit will be based on general awareness on DMRC. The link for participating in the online quiz will be available on the Home Page of Delhi Metro's official website www.delhimetrorail.com from February 21 February 27.

All women commuters of Delhi Metro can participate in this contest through our website www.delhimetrorail.com and submit their story/poem in English or Hindi by filling up the form on the website. The word limit for the story/poem is 100 – 150 words. Only online entries will be accepted till February 27 (midnight). In addition, the women commuters will also be able to provide their suggestions regarding Metro services on the website, www.delhimetrorail.com.
A substantial percentage of Delhi Metro's commuters comprises of women who form an integral part of the system. Delhi Metro has always strived to provide a safe, comfortable and hassle-free journey to all its Women Commuters in the form of reserved seats in each coach and a separate Ladies' coach.
The selected entries will be suitably awarded in a function on March 6 to commemorate the occasion of International Women's Day.
