New Delhi: HPCL conferred with the 'Oil Marketing Company of the Year' award by the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI), recognizing HPCL’s performance excellence amongst oil & gas marketing companies.
Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in presence of Petroleum Secretary Tarun Kapoor and other senior officials presented the coveted award to HPCL’s CMD Mukesh Kumar Surana and Director (Marketing) Rakesh Misri during FIPI’s Oil and Gas held in New Delhi on January 27.
FIPI, an apex society of entities in the hydrocarbon sector, acts as an Industry interface with government and regulatory authorities. All major companies operating in the oil and gas sector in India are members of FIPI.
FIPI Oil and Gas Awards have been institutionalized to recognize the leaders, innovators and pioneers in the oil and gas industry. FIPI selects and awards those companies and individuals who have demonstrated an unparalleled ability to succeed by continuously setting standards of excellence in the Indian petroleum industry.
The awards committee, chaired by former Secretary GC Chaturvedi comprised of former C&MDs of ONGC, Indian Oil and GAIL. Based on the recommendations of the awards committee, The Jury under the Chairmanship of Dr Anil Kakodkar and Dr RA Mashelkar comprising of industry veterans and other governments officials selects the winner in each category.
