New Delhi: Baby Avni and Mohd  Zaid are among the 14 children who can now rejoice the energy of sound as they can now hear and speak after successful Cochlear Implant surgeries. This novel initiative has been carried out by two PSUs, Indian Oil & ALIMCO. This information has been shared by the ALIMCO in a tweet on Wednesday.

Indian Oil, a Maharatna PSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG), is sponsoring cochlear implants surgeries of 14 children in Delhi-NCR, under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative. The parents of these children said they are indebted to the Indian Oil for sponsoring Cochlear Implants surgeries with the contribution of 93.91 lakhs through Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation (ALIMCO), a Miniratna PSU under Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
