Indian Oil warns against fake dealership certificate; says beware of this fraud

New Delhi: Maharatana Oil PSU, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) on Monday asked people not to fall prey to fraudsters issuing fake dealership certificates. In a social media post, the Oil PSU advised the people, who are looking for the Indian Oil's dealership, to stay away from the fraudsters issuing fake certificates. The company urged people to beware of this fraud.

In an official tweet, the company said, "It has come to our attention that fake dealership certificate is being granted to individuals. The public is advised to beware of this fraud. People are advised to visit the nearest area office of OMCs for authentication."

This is the second time in a span of one month when Indian Oil has issued such warnings. In the earlier warning, Indian Oil had advised people to visit the nearest area office of OMCs for authentication.

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) commonly known as Indian Oil is a government-owned oil and gas company headquartered in New Delhi. It is a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG). IndianOil is the largest commercial oil company in the country.
