Indian Oil’s CSR ‘CARE’ for Divyangjan

Panipat: Indian Oil's Panipat Refinery and Petrochemical Complex (PRPC) has distributed various types of equipment to Divyangjans in Bal Bhavan, Panipat on December 22. The event was carried out as part of  CSR activity under the Indian Oil's core value  'CARE', to facilitate and assist them in the enhancement of livelihood earning and a better standard of life.  MLA (Panipat) Mahipal Dhanda, Deputy Commissioner of Panipat, Sumedha Kataria,  VK Raizada, Executive Director of PRPC were also present at the event. As part of MOU, the equipment have been manufactured by ALIMCO (Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India).

This initiative of PRPC has benefited the financially vulnerable sections of society having more than 40% of disability. A sum of Rupees 63.97 Laks benefited a total of 401 Divyangjans, including 110 women and 102 children. They were provided with 545 nos. of artificial limbs, aids & appliances such as Tricycle, Motorized Tricycle, Wheel Chairs, BTE Hearing Aids, Braille Kit, Daisy Player, Smartphone for Visually Handicapped etc.

Speaking on this occasion, Mahipal Dhanda appreciated the role of Indian Oil to help needy people. It is important to mention here that for the identification of the beneficiaries, evaluation camps were organized in October at CHC Dalhalana and Bal Bhavan, Panipat. VK Raizada, while expressing gratitude to the dignitaries on the dais, assured that Indian Oil shall continue helping  & nurturing fellow Indians for the betterment of the society. He also emphasized that PRPC's CSR team will always focus on basic infrastructure development of the areas, solar power plants in schools, multi-skill development for women and youth, special focus on the plantation and rural sports etc. for a healthy environment.

On this occasion, KVS Subudhi, JAN Corera, DC Verma, Shraddha Sharma, a representative from ALIMCO, Red Cross and other dignitaries were also present.
