New Delhi: The Institute of Directors has conferred the Golden Peacock National Training Award on ONGC Academy, recognising the institution as a pioneer in the training of human resources. The award will be presented to the academy on August 17 through online mode. Commenting on the achievement, ONGC Academy said in an official statement, “ONGC Academy is proud to have been bestowed the Golden Peacock National Training Award and be recognised as the best architect of the future of national human wealth. The Academy has been and shall continue to be committed to uphold the elegance of nation’s energy giant through the training of energy warriors and build-up of a strong army for ensuring energy security to the nation. The academy cherishes role in making tomorrow brighter.”
“Human resource is the most essential requisite of any entity’s growth. Challenges such as lack of proper training and other facilities often hinder the creation of this most valuable asset. Overcoming these challenges and ensuring onsite and offsite training with appropriate integrated learning environment paves the path for an institute to become a centre of excellence,” said the statement.
Golden Peacock is a prestigious award which scrutinises hundreds of applications to recognise the achievement of well-performing organisations. Over the last 30 years, the Golden Peacock Certification exercise has enabled industries to think, prepare and march ahead for changing future of work environment, learning process and economy. The jury was headed by Justice MN Venkatachaliah, former Chief Justice of India (CJI), and included several senior bureaucrats.
