New Delhi: Ircon International Limited (IRCON), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, on Tuesday announced that it has completed 100 km track linking out of 372 km stretch entrusted to it by Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd (DFCCIL) between Vaitarna-Sachin sections. The track linking work has been done using the imported new Track Construction machine by IRCON. "It has been possible by the dedicated team of IRCON despite the lockdown due to COVID-19 and insufficient resources," the Railway PSU informed in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange on Tuesday.

IRCON is the first PSU, which owns the NTC machine, which was imported by IRCON from the USA for the purpose of this project. "IRCON’s entire team is showing an unparalleled zeal to complete the project despite the prevailing situation of Covid-19," IRCON mentioned in the filing.
