IREDA is observing ‘Vigilance Awareness Week 2019′

New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) is observing 'Vigilance Awareness Week 2019' from October 28 to November 2. The week-long programme was commenced with an integrity pledge taking ceremony. The theme for the Vigilance Awareness Week for this year is "Integrity- A way of life."

The pledge-taking ceremony was administered by IREDA's Director (Finance) SK Bhargava, and IREDA's Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) Philip Bara to employees on October 28 at the corporate office, New Delhi.

During the week-long vigilance awareness campaign various activities like vendors meet, workshops, seminar, speech competition etc. will be organised to mark the week.

What is Vigilance Awareness Week?

The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) observes Vigilance Awareness Week every year during the week in which the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (31st October) falls. The 2019 Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed from October 28 to November 2.
