New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) Limited has opened its fourth branch office in the country in Bhubaneswar, Odisha for the facilitation of its customer, borrowers, and other stakeholders. IREDA already has three branch offices in Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad.

IREDA CMD Pradip Kumar Das inaugurated the new office of the company at Hotel Kalinga Ashok, Bhubaneswar today in the presence of IREDA's Director (Technical) Chintan Shah, GRIDCO's Managing Director, GRIDCO Director (Finance), OPTCL's Director (Finance), State Head of REC & HUDCO, IREDA's borrowers and stakeholders, and other senior officials. Speaking on the occasion, Das said, "Bhubaneswar branch is an important step towards realizing the company's vision for the expansion of business. It will provide easy access and services to the company's borrowers and stakeholders in the region." 

He underlined that "being significant renewable energy potential in Odisha and nearby states, the opening of the branch in the region was a long-felt need." Das further said, "the company will consider the opening of branch offices in other parts of the country as per the potential of the business." He also underlined that the current drive of the company for decentralization is part of its commitment to ease of doing business, an agenda set out by the government of India." IREDA had opened its third branch office in Mumbai in the last year.

Meeting with Chief Secretary of Odisha

To explore the opportunities for promoting the use of renewable energy in the state, IREDA CMD and Director (Technical) met Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha Suresh Chandra Mohapatra. During the discussion, they also appraised the Chief Secretary on the activities being undertaken by IREDA and the future plan of the company.
