New Delhi: IREL (India) Limited's Chairman D Singh is unanimously elected as regional Chairman for Western Region of Chemical & Allied Products Export Promotion Council (CAPEXIL) under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. He has been selected for the post during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held for the year 2020-21.
D Singh continues to be unanimously elected the Chairman of the Processed Mineral Panel of the CAPEXIL since 2016 by the member industry for his acumen in steering the Council's affairs for the benefit of the export fraternity. The member industry of CAPEXIL earns valuable foreign exchange for the country with exports for the year 2019-20 being over USD 22 billion.
CAPEXIL, a non-profit making organisation, was setup in March 1958 by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India to promote the export of Chemical and Allied Products from India. And since then has been the voice of the Indian business community. With the headquarter at Kolkata, and regional offices at New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai, CAPEXIL has more than 3500 members across the country. One of the fascinating aspects of CAPEXIL is the overwhelming variety of products it deals with.
