New Delhi: Inderpal Singh Sandhu has been appointed as Director (Finance) of the Handicrafts & Handlooms Exports Corporation of India Limited (HHEC), a Miniratna PSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of Textile. The Appointment Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has approved his appointment on December 16 for a period of five years. Prior to this, he was serving as Deputy General Manager of MSTC Limited, a Miniratna PSU under the administrative control of the Ministry of Textile, since February 2012.
Sandhu was recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of HHEC by a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on July 10. He was selected from the list of two candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel.
Sandhu is a Charted Accountant of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICMAI). He had completed B. Sc. (Physics, Chemistry & Maths) from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak (Haryana). Prior to joining MMTC, he has served HLL Lifecare Limited, Cochin Shipyard Limited etc.
