JERC Recruitment 2020: Ministry of Power has posted a job vacancy for the engagement of Member (Law) of Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) for Manipur and Mizoram. Candidates having judicial qualifications with experience are eligible for the job. The post will fall vacant on January 24, 2021.

Salary: Rs 67,000/- 79,000/- per month

Educational qualification

According to the notification, the Member (Law) of the Commission shall be a person, who is, or has been holding a judicial office or is a person possessing professional qualifications with substantial experience in the practice of law, who has the requisite qualifications to have been appointed as a Judge of the High Court or a District Judge.

Duration of service

The Member (Law) of JERC for Manipur and Mizoram shall hold office for a term of five years from the date on which he/she enters upon his/her office or till he/she attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier. The candidate will have to give a declaration that he/she does not have any financial or other interest, which is likely to affect prejudicially his/her function as Member (Law) of JERC.
