IREL Recruitment 2022: IREIL (India) Limited has posted a job vacancy through the PESB portal for the engagement of the Director (Technical). Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the job before February 6, 2023. The post will fall vacant on October 1, 2023.

Director (Technical) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the company. He/She is responsible for the coordination of all technical functions in the company including implementation of the projects, providing directions, adoption of new methods to promote production, formulation of technical programmes for overall development, planning, monitoring of different technical activities etc.

Pay scale: Rs 1,60,000 – Rs 2,90,000 (IDA)

Age Limit: Minimum age limit is 45 years and the age of superannuation is 60 years

The minimum length of service required in the eligible scale will be one year for internal candidates, and two years for others as of the date of the vacancy.

Employment status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);
(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;
(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 1000 crore or more;
(d) Private Sector in company where the annual turnover is *Rs 1000 crore or more.

Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.

(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Educational qualifications

The applicant should be an engineering graduate preferably in chemical or mechanical or metallurgy or mining engineering with good academic record from a recognised university or institution.

The applicants with MBA or PGDM or Ph D with proven track record in Rare Earth technology will have added advantage.

Work experience

The applicant should have adequate technical or operational experience at a senior level of management in a large organisation of repute, out of which at least 5 years during the last 10 years should have been in the field of mining or rare earth industry or dealing with chemical production or projects.

Note (i) Applicants from Central Government or All India Services should be holding a post of the level of Director in the government of India or carrying equivalent scale of pay on the date of application.

(ii) Applicants from the Armed forces of the Union should be holding a post of the level of Brigadier in the Army or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force on the date of application.

Applicants from State Public Sector Enterprises or Private Sector should be working at Board level position or at least a post of the level immediately below the Board level on the date of application.

Duration of the appointment

The appointment shall be for a period of five years from the date of joining or up to the date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
