NBCC invites job applications for CMD; apply before Jan 27

NBCC Recruitment 2022: Navratna PSU NBCC (India) Limited has released a job notification through the PESB portal for the engagement of the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the job before January 27. The CMD post in NBCC will fall vacant on October 1, 2023. Presently, PK Gupta is serving as CMD of NBCC (India) Ltd.

The Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) is the Chief Executive of the Corporation and is accountable to its Board of Directors and the Government. He/She is responsible for the efficient functioning of the corporation for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.

Pay scale: Rs 2,00,000 – Rs 3,70,000 (IDA)

Age Limit: Minimum age limit is 45 years and the age of superannuation is 60 years

The minimum length of service required in the eligible scale will be one year for internal candidates, and two years for others as of the date of the vacancy.

Employment status

The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);
(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;
(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 5,000 crore or more;
(d) Private Sector in a company where the annual turnover is *Rs 5,000 crore or more.

Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.

(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Educational qualifications

The applicant should be Civil Engineering Graduate or Engineering Graduate or Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant or Post Graduate or Graduate with MBA or PGDIM from a leading institute.

Work experience

Applicants should possess cumulative experience or exposure for at least five years during the last 10 years in Business Leadership or Finance or Business Development or Operations or Marketing or Project in a large organisation of repute. Exposure in the Civil Engineering Contracts & Construction & Technical Consultancy services is preferred.

Note: (i) Applicants from Central Government or All India Services should be holding a post of the level of Additional Secretary in the government of India or carrying an equivalent scale of pay on the date of application.

(ii) Applicants from the Armed forces of the Union should be holding a post of the level of Lt. General in the Army or equivalent rank in the Navy or Air Force on the date of application.

Applicants from State Public Sector Enterprises or Private Sector should be working at the board-level positions on the date of application.

Duration of the appointment

The appointment shall be for a period of five years from the date of joining or up-to-the-date of superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
