K Balaji (IAS) appointed as Private Secretary to G Kishan Reddy

New Delhi: The Central Government has approved the appointment of K Balaji (IAS) as Private Secretary to the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region G Kishan Reddy in the Ministry of Tourism. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Balaji has been appointed to the post at the level of Deputy Secretary for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post or on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earliest.

Balaji is a 2010-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. Balaji Belongs to Tamil Nadu. He was appointed to a government job on July 11, 2011. Previously, he was posted as DM and Collector of Meerut District in Uttar Pradesh. "He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment as Private Secretary to the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region G Kishan Reddy in the Ministry of Tourism," the order further read.

G Kishan Reddy is an Indian politician who is currently serving as Minister of Tourism, Culture and Development of the North Eastern Region of India. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is an MP representing Secunderabad since 2019.
