Kashee Nath Akela appointed as an Independent Director on RCF Board

New Delhi: Kashee Nath Akela has been appointed as an Independent Director on the Board of Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited (RCF), a PSU under the Department of Fertilizers. The Board of Directors on the RCF have appointed Akela on the Board of the company for a period of three years with effect from November 5, 2021, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. This information has been shared by the PSU in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Thursday.

Kashee Nath holds a Graduation degree from Varanasi University. He has been President of Azad Sporting Club, Co-convener of Goswami Tulsidas Memorial Committee, Adi Ramlila, Convener of Latbhairav, President of Baba Baluaveer Management Committee. From 1995 to 2000, Governor was appointed as a councillor in Varanasi Municipal Corporation. "Kashi Nath Akela has been involved in various social work and educating farmers. He does not have a relationship between Directors either financially or otherwise with any of the Directors on the Board", RCF said in the regulatory filing.

RCF Ltd is a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. RCF is the fourth-largest producer of fertilizers in India after Coromandel International, National Fertilizer Limited, Chambal and Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals (GSFC). It has two manufacturing units, one at Trombay, in Mumbai– which has completed 50 excellent years in the fertilizers and chemicals domain – and the other at Thal in the Raigad district of Maharashtra.
