The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of Krishnakant Joshi for the post of Director (Operations & Business Development) of Bharat Petro Resources Limited (BPRL)

New Delhi: Krishnakant Joshi is set to be the next Director (Operations & Business Development) of Bharat Petro Resources Limited (BPRL), a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. He is currently serving as General Manager in Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).

Joshi has been recommended for the post of (Operations & BD) of BPRL from a list of three candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection penal in its selection meeting held on Monday. There were a total of two candidates including Joshi, who were on the list, were from ONGC and one candidate was from BPRL.

As Director (Operations & Business Development) of BPRL, Krishnakant Joshi will be a member of the board of directors and reports to the Managing Director (MD). He will be overall in charge of operations including exploration, appraisal, development, production and operations of assets. He also will be responsible for planning, business development, targeted growth, profitability, project execution, early monetisation and business development activities including identification of new opportunities or developing rapport or relationship with the government agencies, operators of international repute etc.

BPRL is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) which focuses on providing partial supply security of crude. Bharat Petroleum entered the upstream sector in 2003 with an aim to provide partial supply security of crude and hedging of price risks and to become a vertically integrated oil company.
