New Delhi: Kumar Animesh (IRAS) has been given additional charge as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Coal Mines Provident Fund Organisation (CMPFO), Dhanbad. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), the government has approved the proposal for the entrustment of the additional charge of the post of CVO of CMPFO to Animesh for a period of one year from the date of assumption of charge or till the appointment of a regular CVO, whichever is earlier, or until further orders.
Animesh is an Indian Railways Account Service (IRAS) officer of 2000-batch. He is currently serving as CVO of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), Dhanbad. In August 2020, Animesh was given a tenure extension for a period of two years as CVO of BCCL.
The Coal Mines Provident Fund Organisation (CMPFO) has been entrusted with the responsibility of administering the Coal Mines Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provision Act, 1948 and different schemes framed thereunder. It is an autonomous organisation governed by a Board of Trustees and functions under the overall supervision of the Ministry of Coal.
