Kushal Vashist (IPoS) appointed as PS to Union Minister Bhupender Yadav

New Delhi: Kushal Vashist (IPoS) has been appointed as Private Secretary (PS) to the Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change & Labour and Employment, Bhupender Yadav in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training, he has been appointed to the post at the level of Director for a period up to July 3, 2022 (i.e. for the balance period of his five years central deputation tenure) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earliest. Vashist is an Indian Postal Service (IPoS) of 1999-batch. Presently, is working as Director in the same Ministry.

Further, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the curtailment of tenure of Kushal Vashist as Director in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Union Minister Bhupender Yadav is an Indian politician from Rajasthan. He is currently Minister of Labour and Employment and Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, since joining Narendra Modi government in the reshuffle of July 2021. He is the national general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
