Arun Kanti Bagchi set to be next Director (Projects) of RINL

New Delhi: Arun Kanti Bagchi is set to be the next Director (Projects) of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Steel. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on August 24. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager in MECON Limited.

Bagchi has been recommended for the post of Director (Projects) of RINL from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on August 24. Out of nine candidates, who were on the list, were from RINL, two candidates were from MECON and the candidate was from the Steel Authority of India (SAIL).

Bagchi is an Engineering Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology. He has also done M Tech in Design & Production Engineering from REC Durgapur. He has been associated with MECON since April 2011.

As Director (Projects) of RINL, Bagchi will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for providing direction to the company's expansion plan and supervision as well as completion thereof within the scheduled time.
