New Delhi: NHPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NHPC Limited, has signed MoU with Govt of Rajasthan on Wednesday for the development of 10,000 MW Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park in the State of Rajasthan. The MoU has been signed by Bhaskar A Sawant (Principal Secretary, Energy Deptt., Govt. of Rajasthan) and Biswajit Basu (Chairman of NHPC REL) at New Delhi in presence of Chief Guest Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot.

Shakuntla Rawat (Minister for Industries & Commerce, Govt. of Rajasthan) and Rajiv Arora (Chairman of The Rajasthan Small Industries Corporation Limited, Govt. of Rajasthan) graced the occasion as Guest of Usha Sharma (Chief Secretary, Govt. of Rajasthan), Veenu Gupta (Additional Chief Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Govt. of Rajasthan) and Om Kasera (Commissioner of Bureau of Investment Promotion, Govt. of Rajasthan) were also present on the occasion.

The recently formed wholly owned subsidiary of NHPC Limited, NHPC REL is expanding its Renewable Energy portfolio. With the signing of this MOU, NHPC REL shall start a new beginning with the support of Govt. of Rajasthan to develop 10,000 MW Renewable energy Parks/Projects in the State of Rajasthan by optimum utilization of resources & knowledge base of both parties.
