New Delhi: National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU), Hisar on October 10. Under the MoA signed with the university, NRDC will be responsible for marketing the inventions, patents, formulations, know-how processes and technologies developed by the university in the area of agriculture and allied fields.
The MoA has been inked by NRDC's CMD Dr H Purushotham and CCSHAU's Director (Human Resource Management) Dr MS Sidhpuria. CCSHAU's Vice-Chancellor Prof KP Singh and other senior officials from both the organisations were present at the event. 'CCSHAU Hisar' and 'NRDC' recognise the respective strengths of the two organisations and accordingly agree to cooperate in the development of technologies and their successful transfer to private and public sector industries for commercial exploitation for economic and social-economic benefits. The NRDC also collects the premia and royalties arising from these activities.

It was established in 1953 by the government with the primary objective to promote, develop and commercialise the technologies, know-how, inventions, patents, processes emanating from various national research and Development (R&D) institutions and Universities.
Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU) is a public-funded agricultural university located at Hisar in the state of Haryana. It is one of the biggest agricultural universities in Asia. The university has 8645 acres of land. It is named after India's seventh Prime Minister, Chaudhary Charan Singh.
