New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Pankaj Kumar Goswami as Director (Operations) of Oil India Limited (OIL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, on Tuesday. According to an official order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Goswami has been appointed with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post on or after June 1, till the date of his superannuation, i.e. September 30, 2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is currently serving as Chief General Manager (Projects) in the same organisation.
Goswami was recommended for the post of Director (Operations) of Oil India by a PESB panel on November 15, 2019. He was selected from a list of six candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel.

With the new appointment, Goswami will replace Pramod Kumar Sharma, who has been serving as Director (Operations) of Oil India Limited (OIL) since June 1, 2015.
