New Delhi: SJVN Limited's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Nand Lal Sharma on Wednesday informed that its flagship 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station has exceeded all the records since commissioning in single-day power generation. The power station has achieved the highest ever daily generation of 39.507 MU surpassing the previous record.
Sharma further apprised that NJHPS is designed to generate 36 MU per day at 100 percent availability during high flow season and against this, the power station has generated 39.507 MU. In the current fiscal year, the power station has been operating at highest-ever plant availability factor (PAF) of 110.114 percent superseding the previous record of 109.971 percent.
Sharma stated that for three consecutive years, Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station has been setting and surpassing records in a single-day generation. He said, "harnessing hydro energy is our core competency and the continual streak of records in power generation is the testimony of our excellence."

SJVN is marching ahead to actualize Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 500 GW installed capacity from non-fossil fuel sources by 2030.
