New Delhi: State-run PSUs across the length and breadth of the country celebrated the 8th International Yoga Day on Tuesday, with employees and their families taking part in the event. The day was observed at all locations wherever PSUs have their offices as well as their townships. Here are glimpses of the day:

"8th #InternationalDayofYoga celebrated at POWERGRID Township, Gurugram. Employees and family members participated in large numbers," said the Maharatna PSU in a tweet.
New Delhi: The Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) organized a programme on 'Self-Empowerment through Yoga' with Dr Mohit D Gupta, leading cardiologist and motivational speaker as part of Yoga Utsav 2022. The occasion was also addressed by Atul Sobti, Director General, SCOPE. The motivational talk was followed by meditation which focused on harmonizing mind and body and relieving stress and Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Convener, SCOPE Health Committee gave the concluding remarks.
Puri: As part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebrations, the 8th International Day of Yoga 2022 was celebrated enthusiastically with Mass Yoga Demonstration based on Common Yoga Protocol, here today. The event was organised by the Ministry of Heavy Industries. During the event, Hon'ble Prime Minister's address to the nation was live-streamed, from Mysuru Palace, Karnataka, to a large number of participants. To commemorate the International Day of Yoga 2022, country-wide celebrations were organised at 75 iconic places under the theme of 'Yoga for Humanity'.
Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Hon'ble Union Minister of Heavy Industries presided over the Yoga Day celebrations here today. Secretary (Heavy Industry) was also present on the occasion. CMD, BHEL and Directors on the board of BHEL also participated in the event, along with other senior officials of MHI & BHEL, local administration and a large number of people and school children.
Nagpur: International Yoga Day 2022 was celebrated in WCL headquarters in Nagpur as well as all its areas. In an event organised on the day, at WCL Hq, CMD Manoj Kumar, Director (Personnel) Dr Sanjay Kumar, Director Technical (Operations) JP Dwivedi and Director Technical (Project & Planning) AK Singh performed Yoga, along with a large number of Officers and Staff.
Various asanas like Surya Namaskar, Tadasan, Pavan Muktasan, Kapal Bharti, Pranayam, etc were performed by the group. Yoga Guru Shri. Ashok Gandhi led the participants as lead instructor.
New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA), a PSU under the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), celebrated the 8th International Day of Yoga at (IDY – 2022) at its Registered Office at Indian Habitat Centre, New Delhi today. Under the supervision of a professional Yogacharya, employees of the company and their families
performed yoga asanas. The Yoga Day event was live streamed from New Delhi to across all offices of IREDA.
Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director (IREDA), addressed the audience and emphasised the importance of yoga in our daily lives. He also underlined the importance of incorporating yoga into daily routine in order to have a healthy and disciplined personal and professional life. Hyderabad: An ambassador of the Fit India Movement, mining major NMDC celebrated the 8th International Day of Yoga today at its Head Office in Hyderabad. Led by the company CMD Shri Sumit Deb along with Director (Finance) Shri Amitava Mukherjee and Director (Production) Shri Dilip Kumar Mohanty, employees practiced yoga asanas and pranayama kriya demonstrated by teachers from Namaste India Foundation, Hyderabad. A tribute to India's ancient tradition of yoga, the event emphasized yoga and its role in achieving mental well-being in tandem with the theme for IDY 2022 – 'Yoga for Humanity'.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sumit Deb said, "In fueling our journey to fitness and oneness with nature, yoga endows us with both physical agility and mental strength. New Delhi: The 8th International Day of Yoga is being celebrated today that is on 21-June-2022 in India and across the world. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the Nation in the celebrations from Mysuru, Karnataka. The theme for this year's International Day of Yoga is 'Yoga for Humanity'.
RailTel, a Mini Ratna Central Government PSU, under Ministry of Railways also joined the Nation today in celebrating the 8th International Day of Yoga. Aruna Singh, Chairman & Managing Director, Sh. Sanjai Kumar, Director ((Network Planning & Marketing) (Project, Operations & Maintenance – Additional Charge)), Sh. Anand Kumar Singh, Director (Finance) and officers and Staff of RailTel participated in a Yoga session organized at the Corporate Office to mark the Occasion. Sh. Devandra Gupta, zonal president of Bhartiya Yoga Sansthan, Delhi conducted the Yoga Session. All the regional & territory Offices of RailTel also celebrated the International Yoga Day at their respective offices.

Rourkela: The Yoga Sessions organised by SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) to mark the 8th International Yoga Day on 21st June evoked enthusiastic response with more than 550 residents of the Steel city joining the exercise in the morning session. The Mass Yoga Sessions were organized in the morning as well as evening at the Biju Pattnaik Hockey Stadium, Sector-6 and Mini Stadium, Sector-22.
Atanu Bhowmick, Director In-Charge (DIC), RSP inaugurated the Yoga Session organised at Biju Patnaik Hockey Stadium. Mr. P K Satapathy, ED (P&A), Mr. P K Sahoo, ED (Projects), Mr. A K Behuria, CGM In-Charge (F&A), several other Chief General Managers and many other senior officers of RSP also took part in the session.
Bhubaneswar: National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), the Navratna CPSE under Ministry of Mines, Govt of India, joined the nation in observing the 8th edition of International Day of Yoga. Employees along with their family members, School students, Teachers and CISF personnel across the operating units and regional offices of the company took part in the exclusive Yoga sessions organised on the occasion and participated in the Common Yoga Protocol, apart from witnessing the live telecast of the International Day of Yoga celebrations from Mysuru, led by Hon'ble Prime Minister.
Guwahati: To mark the 75 years of Amrit Mahotsav, Airports Authority of India (AAI) celebrated 8th International Yoga day on 21st June 2022. The celebration was spread over to all the airports in North East Region. The stakeholders at these airports were also invited to be the part of the celebration.
At North East Regional headquarter, Guwahati the 8th International Yoga Day was celebrated in the New Community hall at AAI residential colony. The celebration was also joined by the famous Yoga instructor and Swami Gurang Dev ji from Patanjali Yog Sansthan, Mirza Guwahati. On the occasion, Regional Executive Director AAI, Shri Ravi Kant impressed upon the befits of Yoga and encouraged all the participants to become a regular yogi so that the standard of living of all the living being is uplifted.
