New Delhi: (GSFC News) Mamta Verma (IAS) has been appointed as Rotational Director on the Board of Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals (GSFC) Limited, a state-owned PSU under the government of Gujarat. She has been appointed on the board of GSFC Limited in place of Sunayna Tomer (IAS). Presently, she is Principal Secretary to the Government, Energy & Petrochemicals Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar. This information has been shared by the state PSU in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges.
"She is not holding any equity shares of the company. She is appointed as rotational and Non-Independent Director on the Board of the company. She is not related to any of the directors of the company," the company further clarified.
Verma is a 1996-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Gujarat cadre. She is an MA in Psychology and has done Post-Graduation in Physiology. She is a senior IAS officer having rich experience in the field of Management & Administration. She has held various distinguished positions in the government of Gujarat such as Collector, District Development Officer, Additional Industries Commissioner, CEO of Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority and Special Commissioner, Commercial Taxes, Director of Municipal Administrator, CEO of Gujarat Urban Development Corporation, Secretary to Government, Industries and Mines Department among others.
Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals (GSFC) Limited is an Indian manufacturer of fertilizers and Industrial Chemicals. GSFC was founded in 1962.
