Md Azhar Shams set to be next Director (Domestic Division) of CONCOR

New Delhi: Md Azhar Shams is set to be the next Director (Domestic Division) of Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), a PSU under the Ministry of Railways. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on Monday. He is currently serving as Executive Director in the same organisation.

Md Shams has been recommended for the post of Director (Domestic Division) of CONCOR from a list of five candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel in its selection meeting held on August 8. Out of five candidates, three candidates were from CONCOR and one each from Indian Railways Service of Electrical Engineering and Indian Railways Traffic Service.

Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Indian Railways. Incorporated in March 1988 under the Companies Act, CONCOR commenced operations in November 1989 taking over an existing network of seven inland container depots (ICDs) from Indian Railways.
