) marked its 11th anniversary Friday. Established in the year 2008, the Metro Museum has been a special attraction for visitors and commuters of Delhi Metro over the past decade. The Museum has also been the venue for various events and initiatives taken up for children by the Corporate Communication Department of DMRC
On the occasion of its 11th anniversary, the Delhi Metro Museum today held a series of activities at the Metro Museum located at Patel Chowk Metro Station. More than 30 girl children from the NGO – Sarthak Prayas were invited to visit Metro Museum and take part in the 11th-anniversary celebrations.
The children visited the Metro Museum and were informed of the history of Delhi Metro. A Nukkad Natak by professional artists was also organised for the children. Following this, the children performed cultural activities.
Further, an exhibition on a suicide prevention campaign ‘#Nevergiveup’ was inaugurated by the chief guest of the event, Veerbala. This #Nevergiveup campaign is an initiative launched by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to spread awareness on suicide prevention.
The chief guest also administered a pledge to the children to stay positive and help those in distress. To spread the message, takeaway cards with positive messages were kept at the exhibition, which can be collected by the visitors of Metro Museum.
Marking the 11th anniversary, the chief guest also launched the new souvenir items of Metro Museum. Following this, the new edition of ‘Metro Museum Digest’ was presented to the chief guest and other guests by DMRC's Metro Museum Administrator and Executive Director (Corporate Communications) Anuj Dayal.
