Milind Madhukar Deo set to be next Director (Technical) of RCF Ltd

New Delhi: Milind Madhukar Deo is set to be the next Director (Technical) of Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (RCF) Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. He has been recommended for the post by a panel of Public Sector Enterprises Selection (PESB), a head-hunter body for the PSUs. He is currently serving as Executive Director (Planning & Project Development) in the same PSU.

Deo has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of RCF from a list of four candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel. All the candidates, who were appeared for the interview were from RCF. The Director (Technical) post in RCF is vacant since June 1.

Deo did the Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai (earlier known as UDCT, Mumbai) in 1984. In July 1984, he joined RCF Thal Unit, when commissioning activities of the Ammonia and Urea Project were just to start. He was actively involved in the commissioning and performance guarantee test run of Urea plants. Expertise in erection and commissioning paved the key role for him in implementing optimisation scheme, during 2002-03 in all three Thal Urea Plants, mainly for reducing energy consumption through updating process technology.

As Director (Technical) of RCF Ltd., Deo will be a member of the board of directors of the company and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will act as head of the Technical or Operations division of the company. His responsibilities include the exercise of control over the efficient operation of the plants of the company in a manner that would ensure optimum utilization of resources. He will also act as the principal adviser of the company in all technical and operations matters.
