MP Mishra set to be Director (Projects & Technical) of NALCO

New Delhi: (PESB Recommendation) Manasa Prasad Mishra is set to be Director (Projects & Technical) of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Mines. Mishra's name has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. He is currently working as Executive Director at the same organisation.

Mishra has been recommended for the post of Director (Projects & Technical) of NALCO from a list of eight candidates who were interviewed by the selection panel. There were a total of six candidates, including Mishra, who were from NALCO, and the remaining were from MOIL Limited and Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).

As Director (Projects & Technical) of NALCO, Mishra will be in charge of all projects, expansion schemes, including feasibility studies, techno-economic evaluations, planning and implementation of the projects and capex. He will also be responsible for all the technical and engineering services required for the satisfactory performance of the various units of the company.

National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), incorporated in 1981, is a Navratna PSU, having integrated and diversified operations in mining, metal and power under the Ministry of Mines. It is one of the largest integrated Bauxite-Alumina-Aluminium-Power complex in the country, encompassing bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting and casting, power generation, rail and port operations.
