MRPL recruitment: Mangalore Refineries & Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry Petroleum and Natural Gas, has invited applications for the post of Director (Refineries) and the last date to apply for the job is December 26. The post will go vacant on June 1, 2020. Director (Refinery) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Managing Director (MD). He/she may also be nominated on the board of various joint ventures and subsidiaries of MRPL, ONGC as may be required. He/she shall be responsible for the operation and maintenance of refinery facilities and jointly responsible to meet the corporate goals and targets in coordination with other functional directors.

Age of superannuation: 60 years Pay scale: Rs 1,80,000-3,40,000 (IDA)

Employment status The applicant must, on the date of application, as well as on the date of interview, be employed in a regular capacity – and not in a contractual/ad-hoc capacity – in one of the followings:-

(a) Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) (including a full-time functional Director in the Board of a CPSE);

(b) Central Government including the Armed Forces of the Union and All India Services;

(c) State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) where the annual turnover is *Rs 2000 crore or

(d) The private sector in a company where the annual turnover is *Rs 2000 crore or more. Preference would be given to candidates from listed companies.

(*The average audited annual turnover of three financial years preceding the calendar year in which the post is advertised shall be considered for applying the approved limits)

Qualifications: The applicant should be an Engineering Graduate preferably in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering with good academic record from a recognised university or institute. Applicants with MBA/Post Graduate Diploma in Management from a recognised university or institute would have an added advantage.

Experience: The applicant should have experience at a senior level of management in a large organization of repute, out of which at least five years during the last ten years should have been in Petroleum Refining. Applicants with experience in the Petro Chemical Industry would have an added advantage.
