Now here is a government data that attempts to mould this perception. Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Arjun Ram Meghwal in a written reply to the Lok Sabha on Tuesday said that there are a total of 119 PSUs that have been continuously making profit for past 5 years. However, there are 30 CPSEs that are continuously in losses for last 5 years.

Meghwal said that there are a total of 366 CPSEs in the country as of March 31, 2020.
