Ajay Tewari (IAS) appointed as Govt Nominee Director on SJVN Board

New Delhi: SJVN Limited announced the appointment of Ajay Tiwari (IAS) as Government Nominee Director on the Board of the company with effect from December 1, 2022, in place of Raghuraj Rajendran until further orders. This information has been shared by the clean energy PSU in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange.

Tewari is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1993 Batch. He is presently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Power. In his current role, he is looking after energy conservation, energy transition, international co-operation, training & research and perspective planning of the Ministry.

He is B Tech (Electrical Engineer) from the Indian Institute of Technology and holds PG Diploma in Financial Management. Before joining the Central deputation in the Ministry of Labour & Employment as Joint Secretary & Director General of Labour Welfare in the year 2018, he had served on many important administrative positions in the State of Assam and Meghalaya. Tewari has wide range of experience of working in finance, education, housing & urban affairs, sports, youth welfare, general administration, revenue administration, disaster management & labour welfare sectors.
