New Delhi: Shraddha S Jaitly is set to be the next Director (Finance) of Bharat Petro Resources Limited (BPRL). She has been recommended for the post by a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Monday. She is currently serving as General Manager (Finance) in the Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) Limited. Currently, N Vijayagopal is serving as Director (Finance) in the corporation but his superannuation is due on August 1.

Jaitly has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of BPRL from the list of four candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel. There were a total of two candidates including Jaitly, who were on the list were from BPRL and one candidate each from ONGC Videsh Limited and Lanco Anpara Power Ltd.

Bharat Petro Resources Limited (BPRL) was incorporated in October 2006, as a 100 percent subsidiary of BPCL, to cater to the upstream activities of BPCL. As on March 31, 2020, BPCL's investment is Rs 5,000 crores in equity. In addition to this, BPCL has given a loan of Rs 2,950 crores to BPRL. BPRL has recorded a consolidated income of Rs 131.09 crores and a consolidated loss of Rs 301.74 crores for the financial year ending March 31, 2020, as against a consolidated income of Rs 180.63 crores and a consolidated loss of Rs. 95.69 Crores in the previous year.
