New Delhi: With a view to involve academic institutions in research and development (R&D) in the coal sector, the Ministry of Coal has organised interactive sessions with the students and faculty of these institutions in the past few days and has sought their involvement in Science and Technology to ensure sustainable development in the sector. The discussions were focussed on the website www.scienceandtech.cmpdi.co.in, which was launched by Coal Secretary Anil Kumar Jain recently for the dissemination of information pertaining to research work (ongoing and completed) in the coal sector.

'Govt seeking online research proposals from students'

During the session, Kumar explained the need of integration of technologies to meet the demands of the industry.
