New Delhi: (Fertiliser Sector News) HIL (India) Limited has recorded significant growth in the first two quarters of the current financial year (FY 2020-21). In a tweet, on Thursday the company said that it has recorded a growth of 65 percent against the previous year. The company has exported Dichloro Diphenyl Trichloroethane (DDT) and Agrochemicals to Southern African countries, Latin America and Iran during the period, it added.
In an earlier statement, the company had said that it has manufactured 530.10 MT of Malathion Technical in the first two quarters of the current year as compared to 375.5 MT in the corresponding period last year (CPLY) with the highest ever production.
The company has also registered the highest sale for the product in the first two quarters and supplied the entire quantity to various institutions like the Ministry of Agriculture's Locust Control Programme and municipal corporations across the country for the vector control program.
Lauding the efforts of the team HIL (India) Limited, Union Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizer DV Sadananda Gowda said, "Congratulations to the Hindustan Insecticides Limited (HIL) Management and their team for this impressive growth of 65% in the first two Qtr of FY 20-21 against the previous year. I wish the HIL a successful & remarkable year ahead."
HIL is engaged in the manufacturing of various technical and formulation grades of pesticides. Despite various hurdles due to the pandemic outbreak, the company started the production activities in the month of April with limited availability of workforce and disrupted supply chain, to fulfill its commitment to support different government-aided programs and to supply agrochemicals to arming community of the country.
