Kalasani Mohan Reddy appointed as Director (Planning & Projects) of NLC India Ltd

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Kalasani Mohan Reddy for the post of Director (Planning & Projects) of NLC India Ltd, a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Coal, on Monday. He was recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on October 28, 2021.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post for a period with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till May 31, 2024, i.e. the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is currently serving as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Ltd (NUPPL), a joint venture between NLC India Ltd and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd.

Reddy is an engineering graduate in Mining Engineering from the Institution of Engineers (India) Kolkata. He has also done an MBA in Finance from Kakatiya University, Warangal. He has over three decades of experience in the mining sector. Prior to joining NLC India Limited in 2013, he was working in Singareni Collieries Company Ltd for over 24 years.
