New Delhi: Navneet Gupta (IA&AS) has been given additional charge as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Department of Telecommunications (DoT). According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Gupta has been given additional charge of the post for a period of six months, with effect from September 1, till the appointment of a regular CVO or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Gupta is an Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) officer of 1997-batch. He is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the same Department.
In a separate order issued on the same day, the government has approved the proposal for extension of deputation tenure of Bir Singh Negi (IDAS) as CVO of MMTC Limited, a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Finance. Negi has been given the extension in his services for a period of two years beyond September 24, i.e. up to September 24, 2022, or until further order, whichever is earlier. Negi is an Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) officer of 1994 batch. Currently, he is serving as CVO of MMTC Limited, since July 2017.
Further, the government has also approved the proposal for entrustment of the additional charge of the post of CVO of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, to Rajiv Kumar Gupta (IFoS). According to the order Gupta has been given additional charge as CVO of IndianOil for a period of three months or till the appointment of regular CVO or until the further orders, whichever is earlier. Gupta is an Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer of 1988-batch. He is currently holding CVO post in Oil India Limited (OIL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
