Nilendu Kumar Singh set to be next Director (Technical) of Eastern Coalfields Ltd

New Delhi: Day after the recommendation of the Director (Personnel) for Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of Nilendu Kumar Singh for it's Director (Technical) post. According to a notification issued on August 17, the PESB panel recommended the name Singh for the post of Director (Technical) of ECL on Wednesday. Presently, he is serving as General Manager in South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL).

Singh has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of ECL from a list of seven candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel. Out of seven candidates, two candidates were from SECL and one each from Coal India Limited (CIL), Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Ltd (CMPDIL), Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and NTPC Limited.

As Director (Technical) of ECL, Singh will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for the operation of mines and also of field activities, technical functions and safety of mines.
