Pradip Kumar Banik set to be next Director (Production) of BVFCL

New Delhi: Pradip Kumar Banik is set to be the next Director (Production) of Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL), a PSU under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Thursday. Presently, he is serving as Deputy General Manager in the same organisation.

Banik has been recommended for the post of Director (Production) of BVFCL from a list of three candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on July 14. All the candidates, who were on the list were from BVFCL.

The Director (Production) post in BVFCL will fall vacant on September 1, 2022. Currently, Digambar Sahai is serving as Director (Production) in the organisation.

As Director (Production) of BVFCL, Banik will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the CMD. He will act as the head of the production and operations division of the company. His principal responsibility will be to exercise control for the efficient operations of the plants of the company in a manner that would ensure optimum utilization of resources. He will also act as the Principal Adviser of the company in all production and operational matters.
