Rajiv Agrawal set to be Director (Technical) of Engineers India Ltd

New Delhi: Rajiv Agrawal is set to be the next Director (Technical) of Engineers India Limited (EIL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Tuesday. He is currently serving as Executive Director (Technical) in the same organisation. The Director (Technical)'s post in EIL is vacant since September 1, 2021. However, EIL's CMD Vartika Shukla is holding the additional charge of the post.

Agrawal has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of EIL from a list of eight candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on June 14. Out of eight candidates, six candidates were from EIL and one each from RITES Limited and Telecommunications Consultants (India) Limited.

As Director (Technical) of EIL, Agrawal will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for the functioning of all technology and engineering divisions involved in design and engineering activities covering process design, heat & mass transfer design, detailed engineering of equipment, piping, structural, electrical & instrumentation as well as speciality areas like environment or water or safety, information technology and research and development.
